Kiran Kahani (1984) is among the quieter and more underappreciated achievements of Haseena Moin's extraordinary body of work for PTV. The drama traced the journey of a young woman navigating the particular challenges of independence, professional life, and emotional self-knowledge in a society that placed considerable pressure on women to conform. Shehnaz Sheikh brought to the lead role the same luminous intelligence she had demonstrated in Tanhaiyan and Ankahi, giving Haseena Moin's precisely drawn character a full and sympathetic inner life.
